Bumping your shin on a ball mount trailer hitch is not fun, neither is a dragging harness wire. The folks at Fastway Trailer Products have the solution with their new Shin Guard. The plastic sleeve also includes a tether for looping the wire harness and keeping it from dragging on the ground.

Installation is simple, just slide the Shin Guard down and over the top of the ball, stretch the bottom down around the nut and it's on. The Shin Guard fits both 2-5/6-inch and 2-inch hitch balls on ball mounts up to 2-1/3-inches wide. And it comes in three colors: black, orange or yellow. Retail price for the Fastway Shin Guard is $8.95, and it is marketed throughout North America.
