Central Coast VINE Symposium set for March 15-16

The Central Coast VINE Symposium will be held March 15-16, 2011 at The Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave., Paso Robles, Calif. “Survival of the Fittest: Adapting to changes in the vineyard and marketplace” is the theme of the two-day meeting.

VINE is a practical, hands-on viticulture production conference for the Central Coast wine grape industry. It is the only wine grape production meeting held on the Central Coast targeted specifically for Central Coast wine grape industry.

The Central Coast VINE Symposium will be held March 15-16, 2011 at The Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave., Paso Robles, Calif. “Survival of the Fittest: Adapting to changes in the vineyard and marketplace” is the theme of the two-day meeting.



VINE is a practical, hands-on viticulture production conference for the Central Coast wine grape industry. It is the only wine grape production meeting held on the Central Coast targeted specifically for Central Coast wine grape industry. The mission of the meeting is to provide growers, consultants and vineyard managers with practical production information that will help them improve yields and quality, decrease production costs and stay abreast of new technology and techniques.

The workshop will also provide participants with continuing education units and ag waiver credits.

 The 2011 meeting will feature an expanded meeting and tradeshow. The speakers will be viticulturists, scientists, industry experts, and University of California researchers covering a variety of topics including: vineyard production and management, pest and disease management, irrigation and water management and more. Western Farm Press is an event co-sponsor.



The VINE Showcase will feature an expanded trade show area with more than 5,000 sq. ft. of piped and draped exhibitor spaces. Vendors will include nurseries, equipment manufacturers, irrigation suppliers, a wide variety of vineyard-related service providers and more.



The VINE Symposium is hosted by Precision Ag, Inc. - as Paso Robles-based vineyard production consulting company. Precision Ag is owned by Lowell J. Zelinski, Ph.D. who is a former University of California Extension agent and California State University professor, and private consultant with 30 years experience. Zelinski has a doctorate in soil-plant-water relations and part of his company's mission is to provide education and training in the areas of the products and services they provide.



Early registration is $199 per person or $179 per person for two or more representatives from the same company, and $229 after March 1, 2011. Registration includes workshop materials, tradeshow access, a welcome reception and meals during the meeting.
