Rains continued to fall on the Mid-South during the first week of May. Among the consequences: heavy traffic was diverted from Arkansas’ I-40 due to White River flooding. As a result, the drive from McCrory, Ark., to Bald Knob, Ark. – a distance just over 20 miles – took over 90 minutes. Some houses along the route were flooded, others sand-bagged.
