COMPANY GIVES: Haybuster donated a bale processor, like the one shown, and a vertical mixer to Farm Rescue just before Christmas.

Haybuster — a division of DuraTech Industries in Jamestown, N.D. — has given farmers and ranchers a pretty neat Christmas gift. They donated a Balebuster bale processor and a CMF-series vertical mixer to Farm Rescue, so that the non-profit will now be able to help provide farmers in a crisis with livestock feeding assistance.

This assistance will be available throughout Farm Rescue's entire service area, which includes the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and eastern Montana.

Haybuster, a family-owned manufacturer specializing in hay processing and handling equipment, has provided financial support to Farm Rescue for more than a decade

"Haybuster is one of the founding sponsors of Farm Rescue," says Bill Gross, founder and president of Farm Rescue. "Their commitment to help farmers and ranchers in a time of need has been steadfast throughout the years. They certainly make quality equipment that will be instrumental in fulfilling our livestock feeding assistance services."

"Haybuster has always been and will continue to be a financial contributor to Farm Rescue," says Jay Grotrian, president of Haybuster. "Haybuster is honored to be able to provide equipment to the Livestock Feeding Assistance program that has been developed by Farm Rescue."

The livestock feeding assistance will be provided through the work of volunteers, as with all Farm Rescue services.

The organization is seeking additional volunteers for this new venture. Anyone interested in joining the Farm Rescue family of volunteers to help ranchers should submit a volunteer form at farmrescue.org.

Farm Rescue has helped more than 500 families since its inception in 2006. The organization's mission is to help farmers and ranchers who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster by providing the necessary equipment and manpower to plant, hay or harvest their crop. Livestock feeding assistance is also available to ranchers.

Applications are currently being accepted for livestock feeding assistance. Call 701-252-2017, or see farmrescue.org. Referrals are welcome.
