Researchers in the Department of Plant Pathology at UC Davis are seeking grape growers and vineyard managers in California to complete a short online survey about the use of biological fungicides for controlling grape powdery mildew.

Participants might even win a gift worth some real money for their efforts.

“We want to better understand how, and to what extent, farmers and consultants are using these materials and what they think about their effectiveness,” says researcher Chris Janousek.

The 14-question survey is voluntary and no personally-identifiable information will be published or disseminated, he notes. It will be open for participation at least until mid-October.

“We’ll summarize the results in a peer-reviewed journal article and we’ll also use the information in working with growers, PCAs and product manufacturers,” he says. “At the end of the survey form, you can choose to enter a drawing for gift cards valued at $100 to $300, if you wish.”
