David Boyd has been re-elected to a second term as president of the Mississippi Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association. Boyd, a grower from Rankin County, Miss., will lead the 75-member association through January 2010.

James Richmond of Prentiss, Miss., was elected by the board of directors to serve as vice president, and Teri McCarter of Madison, Miss., will serve as secretary/treasurer.

The Mississippi Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association serves retail and wholesale fruit and vegetable growers in the state through newsletters, networking, training, advocacy, and co-sponsorship of the Deep South Fruit and Vegetable Growers Conference and Trade Show held each December with sister organizations in Alabama and Louisiana.
