If the residue from last season’s crop interfered with planting this year, you may want to check out Landoll's three new vertical tillage models to help you prepare an even seedbed for next spring.

The new Landoll 7400 Series 5-Section VTplus is a larger version of the VTplus vertical tillage models the company first introduced in 2008. The 7450-39, 7450-44 and 7450-49 models offer working widths from 39 ft. 9 in. to 49 ft. 9 in. and are designed to cover up to 42 acres per hour at speeds up to 8 ½ miles per hour.

As with previous models, these larger, five-section units feature a 10-degree disc gang angle with ultra-low concavity, 22-in. disc blades spaced on 7-in. centers to mix soil with residue and smooth the soil for a level, ready-to-plant seedbed. The center section is equipped with two sets of dual walking tandems to help evenly distribute weight. All 7450 models fold to a narrow width of 17 ft. 4 in. for transport. Suggested list price: $114,000 to $127,000.
