Overcoming obstacles in 2010

October 8, 2010

According to USDA’s latest numbers, farmers in the U.S. Corn Belt are harvesting huge crops. But getting to this stage of the season has not been without challenges, even in Iowa, home to large corn and soybean acreages.

Producers Steve Prybil and Craig Sage talked about their 2010 crops and their experiences with marketing their grain in interviews at the Iowa Soybean Association headquarters in Ankeny.

Prybil and Sage were the winners of an Opportunity Sweepstakes conducted by the ISA to help build membership in the organization.

Prybil won the use of a John Deere 8320 tractor and Sage a Case IH Magnum 335 tractor for 200 hours. They also received $1,500 worth of soy-based biofuel for the tractors.
