Loftness Specialized Equipment (LSE) introduces its OS170 dry material, low profile, narrow width, and high capacity spreader for use in today’s orchards, vineyards, and small plots.

The OS170 dry material spreader, the latest addition to Loftness’ FertiLogix product line, is 56.4 inches tall and easily moves under low tree branches. The hopper width is 48.7 inches with a 50.1 inch tire width.

Loftness says, “It can operate efficiently in some of the narrowest spaced plantings.”

Despite its low profile and narrow width, the OS170 can carry 80 cubic feet of material, plus consistently spread material up to 25 feet wide with an option to spread up to 40 feet.

The optional banding attachment is available to deflect fertilizer into narrow bands at the spreader’s sides.

The standard OS170 dry material spreader includes a mechanical conveyor drive. An optional hydraulic drive is available to control the spread rate independently of the ground speed, plus provides variable rate application capabilities.

The unit features all stainless steel construction, including the 409-painted stainless steel hopper for superior corrosion resistance.

Other standard features include dual stainless-steel spinners and an adjustable clevis hitch. Hydraulics or an optional 540-RPM PTO drive can drive the spinner.
