Championship Tractor Pull

November 18, 2008

2 Min Read

What better place to see farm machines flex some serious muscle than at the National Farm Machinery Show? As America’s oldest indoor tractor pull, the Championship Tractor Pull (CTP) at the National Farm Machinery Show has provided a continuous tradition of super-charged competition for more than 40 years. Even more thrills are expected in 2009. Five pulls will be held February 11-14, 2009, in Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

The nation’s best truck and tractor drivers compete in this invitation-only event. More than $200,000 in prize money is riding on the results of the Pro Stock, Super Stock, Modified and Alcohol Tractor competitions, as well as Two-Wheel-Drive and Four-Wheel-Drive Truck events. A one-night-only autograph session gives fans a chance for some one-on-one time with the elite drivers. The specific date and time of the autograph session will be announced soon. View the pulling trucks and tractors up close by visiting “The Pit” in Broadbent Arena from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at the show. ”The Pit” will close at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in preparation for the 1:00 p.m. pull.

Tickets go on sale December 13, 2008. Visit http://www.farmmachineryshow.org/nfms/ticket/tickets.htm for more information about ticket prices, or call the Kentucky Exposition Center Ticket Office at 502/367-5144 for more information.
