Caterpillar’s new Southern plant hits stride following Asian shift

To follow a shift in market demand for its products, Caterpillar wanted to move production from its Sagami, Japan, assembly plant to the United States. The company now has a 850,000-square-foot facility in Athens, Ga. Here is a look at what's going on at the plant and the products moving off its loading docks.
