Johnny Woolfolk and his son, Scott, operate a purebred Hereford and commercial beef cattle operation not far from Jackson, Tennessee.

While returning from covering another ag event, I stopped and took some images of Johnny and Scott baling Bermuda hay on one of their field beside Hwy 70.

Johnny and I chatted a bit and then he asked if I'd like to see a piece of equipment not too many people in this area have ever seen.

Who could refuse an invitation like that? He began to explain how the Bale Baron works, and Scott fired it up and began making rounds.

It is a unique piece of machinery that reduces the amount of back-breaking work often associated with loading and hauling bales of hay.

Take a look at the gallery and read the short feature I put together on the Bale Baron.
