I stopped by the Stockyards Ag Experience barn at Falls Park in Sioux Falls, S.D., the other day. If you ever delivered livestock to the Sioux Falls Stockyards, you might want to take time to visit, too.

The Stockyards Ag Experience is a museum. Exhibits lead you through the history of the Stockyards from its opening in 1917 to its closure in 2009. At one time, the Sioux Falls Stockyards was the largest stockyards in the U.S. The Stockyards Ag Experience highlights the Stockyards’ influence on the region’s history, economy and society.

The museum also has a section that is dedicated to telling the farm-to-table story of agriculture. Corn, soybean, wheat, beef, pork and other commodity groups are featured.
