Max Armstrong talks about rift in Southern Baptist Convention. (podcast)

In Nashville, the Southern Baptist Convention has been meeting and trying to do a little fence mending. The largest protestant denomination has had tensions since the recent presidential race because of split over those who backed Donald Trump for president and those that didn't.

In Iowa, the state's leading farm organization says a program that allows landowners a tax credit if they donate land has gotten out of hand. From 2008 to 2013, 9,000 acres were given away and more than $6 million in tax credits given. The Iowa Farm Bureau says the donations shrink the local property tax base, idle land where there is intense competition and eliminates opportunities for young farmers. 

If you want to be CEO, it helps to look the part, so suggests research from Duke University. 2,000 people were asked to look at two pictures of people who are same race, age and gender. The online survey takers rated the CEOs as looking more competent based on facial features. Duke University researchers concluded that looks do matter.
