Darren Richardson is the new Assistant State Conservationist for Field Operations for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Lubbock, Texas. Richardson will be responsible for overseeing NRCS operations in 51 counties in the Panhandle and South Plains regions.
NRCS is the primary federal agency that helps private landowners protect their natural resources.

“It is good to be back to Texas,” Richardson said. “Although we have a lot of challenges ahead of us, I appreciate the opportunity to serve as assistant state conservationist for NRCS in one of the most productive farming areas in the country.”
