All of my Indiana FFA state officer teammates and I like to brag about the parts of the state we come from. Kenzie Kretzmeier and Sean Harrington love to say that the world is supposed to be like northwest Indiana: completely flat with straight roads. Josh Calhoun and Mason Gordon, who are from the southern part of the state, like to argue that rolling hills with curvy roads is how God intended it.

Meet Courtney Adams: The current Indiana FFA state reporter hails from Sheridan, where her advisers were Scott Isom and Phil Carter. She hopes to attend Cornell and then enroll in medical school at Indiana University
Annalee Witte likes to say that she and I are from the sweetest part of the state: the doughnut counties surrounding Indianapolis. And then there is Brett Roberts, who has no other argument than 'Whitley County is God's country.'
Regardless of where our loyalties lie, we always love exploring parts of the state other than our own. That is the exact opportunity we've been given during FFA week, which will take place next month, February 20-27, 2016.
FFA Week is a time for members and advisors to bring FFA into their community, and share about the importance of advocating for agriculture. Many chapters celebrate FFA Week with petting zoos, faculty breakfasts and other activities that show how fun FFA can be.
Many chapters use this week to show their appreciation for their supporters and community. During that time the state officers will travel through different parts of the state, visiting the schools in that area and participating in the chapters' activities.
Chances are your local FFA chapter has a Website or Facebook page as well. Check out your local chapter on social media, and see what activities they have planned. National FFA Week is a great time to reconnect with her local FFA chapter and agriculture education department.
