The United States corn harvest remains behind the four-year average, crop watchers report Nov. 12 that farmers gained 13 points when it comes to completing the season. Producers say they are now 83% complete, which is still 8% below the average of 91%.

Wisconsin is still struggling with harvest with only 56% complete. Other states that appear are behind include Michigan and Pennsylvania with only 69% of the corn harvest finished.

One state reports that their corn harvest is complete: North Carolina. States with over 90% complete include Illinois (90%); Kentucky and Missouri (92%); Kansas (93%); Texas (95%); and Tennessee (99%).

Crop watchers say 93% of the soybean crop is harvested, just down 2% from the four year average of 95%. Two states, Louisiana and Minnesota report farmers are finished with the soybean harvest.

Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin producers report they have over 90% of the crop off the fields. One state that is behind in the harvest is North Carolina iwht only 54% of the crop completed. Meanwhile, harvest continues to move along in Tennessee (74%) and Kentucky (69%).
