The third annual Heart of America Dairy Expo, presented by Hiland Dairy Foods, will be Jan. 22-24 at the Ramada Oasis Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield

“Our Expo offers dairy farmers in the region an alternative for educational programming closer to home and directed to our needs,” says Expo Chairman and dairy farmer Larry Purdom of Purdy. “Last year we drew almost 500 attendees from 15 states. We have the largest dairy trade show in the southern Midwest along with nationally known speakers."

Thanks to sponsors, registration is free for dairy farmers and their families with a nominal registration fee for allied industry representatives. This year’s sponsors include Hiland Dairy Foods, Alltech, Boehringer-ingelheim, Brownfield, Central Life Sciences, Dairy Herd Management, MFA, Inc., Missouri Pork Association, Multimin USA and Progressive Dairyman.

All dairy farmers and allied industry are invited to attend.

“The Ramada Oasis Hotel and Convention Center offers room for over 50 dairy exhibits and equipment inside and is conveniently located on the north side of Springfield at Interstate 44 and Glenstone,” says Purdom.

The Expo kicks off with a Grand Opening Trade Show reception on Thursday evening Jan. 22, including an Early Bird Seminar, and concludes at noon on Saturday, Jan. 24, according to Dave Drennan, Expo Sales Manager.

“Ten dairy organizations will have their board meetings and annual meetings during the Expo," Drennan says. “We encourage travelers to enjoy all Missouri has to offer with Branson only 45 miles away from Springfield."
