Botryosphaeria in pistachios can render them unmarketable. A new fungicide labeled for tree nuts and other crops is available to California growers.Todd Fitchette
California strawberry growers have a new labeled fungicide in time for spring planting.
BASF was granted a label by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation for Cevya, a Group 3 fungicide labeled for strawberries, grapes, pome and stone fruit, and tree nuts. It addresses a host of diseases, including Alternaria, Botryosphaeria, brown rot, shothole and others.
Cevya is labeled for ground and aerial applications.
According to a statement from BASF, Cevya fungicide is the only new DMI chemistry in more than two decades. It is said to contain a longer residual and increased flexibility in application.
More information on Cevya can be found online.
