Last month Farm Industry News gave you a preview of an upcoming scholarship opportunity for all would-be agriculturists. Well, guess what? It's showtime.
Ag chemical company FMC has officially launched its “Stand and Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest,” a scholarship contest for students in ag-related organizations such as FFA, 4-H or student NAMA . FMC invites any member between the ages of 13 to 21 to upload a video of themselves singing the National Anthem to www.FMCcrop.com/contest.
Participants can enter from now until June 15. A public online voting phase, beginning July 2, will determine the finalists. The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship with three runners-up each receiving $5,000.
Videotaped interviews and performances of the finalists will be aired on national agricultural TV with online voting to determine the grand prize winner. Voting for finalists will take place between September 24 and October 19. To enter, visit www.FMCcrop.com/contest.
