Tulare, Calif., cotton farmer Drew Clark yielded over five bales with his Stoneville variety last summer.
Thirteen growers across the cotton belt reported yields of over 2,000 pounds per acre.

Several cotton growers from the West were named "Legacy Club" winners by BASF for their extraordinary high yields in 2021. The top producer from California marks the first time a grower from there achieved the highest yield in the country.

Drew Clark Farming in Tulare, Calif., won top honors with a yield of 2,775 pounds per acre on Stoneville variety ST 4993B3XF. Thirteen growers across the cotton belt reported yields of over 2,000 pounds per acre.

Five growers across Arizona and California were recognized by BASF for their top yields on irrigated land. Those include:

  • Mitch Ford, Ford Farms, Wellton, Arizona
  • Eddie Harrison, Harrison Farms, Yuma, Arizona
  • Robert Nickerson, Robert Nickerson Farms, Wellton, Arizona
  • Douglas and Leslie Mederos, Doug Les Farms, Tulare, California
  • Drew Clark, Drew Clark Farming, Tulare, California

“These results and strong club participation across the Cotton Belt are a testament to the high-yielding, premium-quality cotton farmers attain when they choose Stoneville cotton,” said Rachel Walters, Regional Grower & Channel Marketing Manager, Seeds for BASF Agricultural Solutions.

Stoneville cotton’s reputation for consistency and quality is a century in the making, with the brand celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year. “We’re honored that so many growers have entrusted their legacy to ours,” Walters continued.
