Approximately 100 people attended the University of Tennessee's annual Cotton Tour. Held on Sept. 1, the tour highlighted research activities on the West Tennessee Research and Education Center in Jackson, Tenn.
Various stations across the research facility focused on variety trials, disease updates, irrigation efficiency, pest control and weed problems.
Aaron Smith, assistant professor in Agricultural & Resource Economics and a crop marketing specialist, wrapped up the presentations with a mostly bullish cotton market outlook.
