Ron Kindred Named to American Soybean Association Exec Committee

Atlanta farmer elected vice president of nine-member national group.

Ron Kindred, a soybean grower from Atlanta, was elected to serve as a vice president on the nine-member, 2007-08 American Soybean Association Executive Committee.

Kindred has served four years on Illinois Soybean Association's Executive Committee, as well as on national Farm Bill, soy opportunity and transportation task forces. As an ASA vice president, Kindred will chair the National Transportation Committee and serve also on the Public Affairs and Commodity Classic Committees.

Kindred took over his family's operation in 1980, and today grows corn and soybeans using minimum till practices. He attended Illinois State University and has also been active as a Logan County Farm Bureau director, East Lincoln Farmers Grain Company director, Illinois Corn Growers Association member and Atlanta Township trustee.
