In the latter's annual business meeting, its entire slate of officers were re-elected. They are: Ken Bowell, Shickley, president; Dennis Fujan, Prague, vice president; Nathan Dorn, Hickman, secretary; and Robert Johnson, Clearwater, treasurer.

After the noon luncheon, Dave Varner, associate dean for the Southeast Research and Extension Center at UNL, reviewed the role and accomplishments of UNL Extension through the years. His presentation coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Extension Service in the United States, through the passage of the Smith-Lever Act in 1914.

NeCGA, after his review, presented UNL Extension with its 2014 Golden Ear Award.
