Architecture varies from place to place in Indiana. Sometimes it’s related to the most common type of natural resource available for building in the area, such as wood, limestone or brick. Sometimes it’s wrapped up in tradition.

The architecture of the buildings in this picture may give you a clue as to where they’re located. If you know the city where you can spot these buildings, email the answer to [email protected] or mail it to: 599 N., 100 W., Franklin, IN 46131. Please include your physical address. One person who answers correctly will receive a gift card.

Want another clue? This picture was taken looking out the window of a building not in the photo. That building features a historic front entrance that opens into a new $80 million facility. The picture was obviously not taken at street level.

If you don’t recognize this setting, you can still participate in Spotted … in Indiana. Send us a picture of a unique scene in Indiana you’ve noticed along a state highway or country road. Perhaps it is an unusual mailbox or a sign that made you laugh. Or maybe it’s an antique plow or farm wagon that someone turned into a yard decoration. Large-format, horizontal, digital photos are preferred. If the picture you submit appears in the column, you will receive a gift card. Happy spotting!
