Anderson Industrial Engines finalizes western expansion

Industrial engine distribution company acquires assets and territory for western growth.

Anderson Industrial Engines Co. Inc. recently announced an agreement to buy the assets of H.G. Makelim Co., effective Feb. 28.

H.G. Makelim’s Kubota and JCB business is being sold to AIE, which is headquartered in Omaha, Neb., with a branch operation in Kansas City, Kan. AIE is recognized as one of Kubota’s and JCB’s top distributors.

AIE will operate the former H.G. Makelim business out of its Modesto, Calif., facility and retain H.G. Makelim’s staff at that location.

Beginning March 1, Kubota and JCB orders in California, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, northern Nevada, Wyoming, Hawaii and Guam will be fulfilled by AIE, with the additional JCB territory of New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.

AIE brings a team of industry professionals that offer engine sales, engineered systems, technical information, on-hand service parts, product training, warranty administration, application engineering and more. A full-featured industrial engine distributor, AIE specializes in providing a value-added, engineered product in a turnkey package.
