Registration is open for the inaugural 2019 Ag Emerge conference in Monterey, Calif. The event takes place Jan. 9-11 at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa.

Marked as an ag technology event to showcase a new paradigm in agriculture technology, AgEmerge is a unique opportunity to learn from and interact with entrepreneurs about solving some of the more significant challenges in agriculture today. Discussions will include regenerative agriculture, automation and consumer trends.

The event kicks off Jan. 9 with a keynote speech and dinner. Rod Osthus, an agricultural consultant with an extensive background in research, production, sales and marketing, will keynote the evening event. North Dakota farmer Gabe Brown will headline the event with a presentation on how he uses regenerative agricultural practices on 5,000 acres of land that have allowed him to eliminate the use of synthetic fertilizers, fungicides and pesticides.

Events on Jan. 10 will include a pitch competition that gives attendees an opportunity to be hands-on and participate in judging the business ideas from 10 promising entrepreneurs who are passionate about their solutions to improve agriculture.

In-depth breakout sessions and closing remarks by Ag Solutions Network Founder Monte Bottens, a fifth-generation Illinois farmer and owner of California Ag Solutions in Madera, will round out the event.

Register online by Dec. 7 for the conference and hotel accommodations.
