Two-Cylinder Club To Hold Expo At Waterloo

You are invited to view hundreds of antique and restored John Deere tractors that will be on display June 23-25 at Waterloo, Iowa.

Antique tractor enthusiasts of all ages will gather soon for the "Two-Cylinder Expo XXI" to be held on the National Cattle Congress grounds June 23-25, 2011 at Waterloo, Iowa.

"This is an enjoyable event for persons of all ages—whether you are from a farm or not," says Lonnie Elmore, director of group sales for the Waterloo Convention and Visitors Bureau. "There will be hundreds of beautifully restored John Deere Tractors on display, and helpful owners more than willing to tell visitors about them. These magnificent machines are part of the history of Iowa."

Although most of the tractors were built in Waterloo, it's not unusual to hear people look at the wide variety of vintage tractors and equipment on display and say, "I had no idea John Deere made anything like that."

In addition to displays, there will be informational presentations

In addition to the classic tractors and related farm machinery exhibits, there will be presentations of interesting information about the vintage tractors on Thursday and Friday, and an exciting tractor auction on Saturday. Hours for the 2011 Expo are Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Admission is adults $5.00 per day; children under 12 years old are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Parking is free. Also, John Deere employees and retirees from any facility are admitted free when presenting their employee pass or some positive form of retiree identification.
