Spring Planting Finished Before Rain

Around 200 acres were planted Saturday, April 19 with the remaining acres getting in on Wednesday before the rain storms.

Spring planting at the Farm Progress Show site near Boone, Iowa, finished early Wednesday morning, April 23, as David Moline with John Deere, planted with the new ExactEmerge row unit planter.

Around 200 acres were planted Saturday, April 19 with the remaining acres getting in on Wednesday before the rain storms. A total of about 300 demonstration acres were planted for the show.

Shortly after the demonstration fields were planted, the show site received a nice steady rainstorm for the remainder of the day.

Host farmers for the Farm Progress Show are Alan Schoff, Kim Uthe, Karyl and Gene Jones, Richard Isaacson, June Isaacson and Eric Ziel.
