Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company recommends farmers meet with their insurance agent at least annually. These topics may be relevant for your discussion.

Your Home
___ Additions or improvements since last review?
___ New protective devices (smoke detectors/theft alarms/deadbolt locks)?
___ New heating units (wood burning stove/fireplace insert)?
___ New construction (garages/swimming pools/new fencing)?

Household Contents
___ New major purchases
___ Jewelry
___ Firearms
___ Furs
___ Silverware
___ Other

Farm Buildings
Review adequacy of values in light of changes in re-building costs.
___ New construction since last review
___ Any planned construction in coming year?
___ Any additions or improvements to existing buildings?
___ Any new storage units (bins, silos)?

Farm Property
Review inventory with your agent.
___ Any additions or deletions from prior review?
___ Any planned new purchases during coming year?
___ Any significant changes in grain, livestock or commodity pricing since last review?
If so, you may want to review adequacy of inventory limits with your agent.

Operations
___ Significant change in volume of sales or other business activity since last review?
___ Any new partnerships, joint ventures or other business affiliations?
___ Any new acreage acquired since last review?
___ Any new acreage acquisitions planned in coming year?
___ Any additional business activities begun or planned?
___ Have you begun boarding of horses or other animals?
___ If you have employees, any change in number?

Vehicles
___ Any change in vehicle ownership or drivers?
___ Any new vehicles added since last review?

Life Circumstances
Discuss any changes in any of these areas:
___ Marriage
___ New business ventures
___ Divorce
___ Retirement/loss of job if employed off farm
___ Birth/adoption of children
___ Additional sources of income/inheritance
___ Death of family members
