Holte’s election to a two-year term was made by delegates at the 97th American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida on Jan.12. Last year, he was elected to fill a one-year term on the AFBF Board.

Holte raises beef cattle and grows corn, soybeans and alfalfa on 460 acres of land near Elk Mound in Dunn County.

In December, Holte was reelected for a fourth one-year term as the president of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and Rural Mutual Insurance Company. Holte was first elected to the WFBF Board of Directors in 1995 to represent District 9 on the board. Next year, Farm Bureau members will gather for the 98th AFBF Annual Convention and IDEAg Trade Show in Phoenix, Ariz.
