This year’s Northeast Ag Expo Field Day is set for Thursday, July 26 at NC Spuds, Inc. and Perdue Farms in Elizabeth City, N.C. The field tour will focus on soybean production, covering 12 trials focused on maximizing yields.
The Northeast Ag Expo Field Day typically attracts 300 attendees. This year’s location is the same location as the first Northeast Ag Expo field day held in 1995. Registration begins at 8 a.m.; diamond sponsor presentations start at 9 a.m. and the program begins at 10 a.m. The field day concludes with a catered lunch at noon.
Perdue Farms is located at 1268 US-17, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
The Northeast Ag Expo covers six counties in northeastern North Carolina: Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans Counties. The Northeast Ag Expo Field Day is held annually through the joint efforts of producers, agribusinesses, North Carolina State University, commodity groups and Extension agents in the six counties.
In addition to the summer field day, Northeast Ag Expo holds a small grains field day each winter.
