New Holland P1070 Air Cart

The new P1070 three-tank air cart from New Holland has a 580-bu. tank capacity. The company says it created this cart 150 bu. larger than its previously largest air cart to satisfy its customers’ demands for larger air carts to match the efficiency of larger drills.

The P1070 uses the 50 series metering system that includes downdraft metering with air-valve control at each meter. This allows the operator to set the airflow for accurate delivery of various products.

The cart has three integrated steel tanks of 135, 183 and 262 bu. so operators may carry up to three separate products for single- or double-shoot applications. New Holland says the air cart is ideal for applying large volumes of seed and fertilizer in a single application.

The new air cart has four equal-sized tires to provide more evenly distributed weight for increased stability with less compaction to the soil. This new feature also improves flotation in muddy or soft field conditions.

Additional features include wagon-style front-wheel steering, a fan at the back-facing toolbar, staircase access to the top working platform, and a platform on top for secure access to the top of the tanks.
