Pecan growers, pecan shellers or pecan lovers now have a free outlet to list or find pecans or pecan-related equipment or services for sale.

The North Carolina Pecan Growers Association has created a section on its website at www.ncpecans.org where people can list pecans for sale as well as pecan cracking and shelling services and equipment. The addition came in response to numerous questions directed each year to the organization.

“This website offers a great service to growers who have pecans for sale or for people interested in locating pecans for sale near them,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “With the state’s pecan harvest typically running from November to December, the timing of the website addition couldn’t be better.”

Anyone interested in listing pecans or related items for sale or items wanted can fill out an online form. The ad will be reviewed and uploaded to the Web by a site administrator.
