The 42^nd annual Almond Conference, Dec. 9-11 in Sacramento, Calif., will be packed with must-attend presentations, top-notch speakers, entertaining meal events, and more dedicated trade show time.

Pre-registrations already top more than 2,500 people - a new Almond Conference record attendance.

Here are some last minute on-site tips on the conference, courtesy of the Almond Board of California.

Parking

The City of Sacramento operates the Memorial Garage, less than two blocks north of the Exhibit Hall. Click on the parking links for maps and addresses for privately owned parking lots and city parking garages.

Picking up badges

Once at the Sacramento Convention Center, go to the third floor to get your name badge. Look for the ‘Pre-Registration’ kiosk which is organized by last name. Your badge will signify any meal tickets you have purchased.

Registration hours are: Tuesday, Dec. 9, noon – 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 10, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; and Thursday, Dec. 11, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

If you haven’t registered, go to the ‘Onsite Registration’ kiosk, also located on the third floor. Note: You can download and fill out this registration form before the conference and bring it with you.

Continuing education units (CEUs)

To take advantage of available CEU units, check in with the CEU kiosk at the beginning and end of each day. You must have your CCA or DPR identification number with you.

Note that CCAs must sign in and out of EACH SESSION. Visit the table at the back of each session room to get credit.

Show-Your-Badge restaurant discounts

Many Sacramento restaurants will offer discounts to Almond Conference attendees. A list of participating restaurants will be in your conference bag.

Conference meals

If you’ve pre-registered for meals, your badge will signify any meal tickets you purchased. If you are registering for your name badge on site, please check with the registration assistant for meal ticket availability.
