The handy shop air compressor can't be taken for granted. Jenny Products, a Somerset, Penn., company, is rolling out a new 60-gallon vertical air tank model with an industrial grade 5 horsepower motor.

The GC5A-60V has 27.8 cfm at 125 psi through a cast iron compressor pump. The pump provides splash lubrication using Jenny "Ultimate Blue" synthetic compressor oil. For more pump cooling, the system uses an oversized flywheel and a directional air shroud.

The compressor is designed with a totally inclosed belt guard and grease fittings are strategically mounted on the machine. The tank also includes a large canister intake filter with replaceable elements, and there's thermal overload motor protection too. Other standard features include manual tank drain, pressure relief safety valve, powder-coated tank finish, magnetic starter and special unloader valves for easier motor startup.

You can also add options to the compressor including constant run control, dual control, a low-oil switch, oil sight glass, air lubricator, aftercooler and dryer. You can learn more about the Jenny compressor by visiting www.jennyproductsinc.com.
