Max Armstrong talks about the homeless population that has surged. According to the Wall Street Journal, the number of homeless has increased dramatically due to the end of the Pandemic efforts to keep people in their homes and illegal immigrants.

Max looks at the homeless problem in his book, "More Stories from the Heartland."

Federal weather casters say the dry conditions are spreading east from Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Private forecasters say the area could get the moisture but it could arrive too late to help the corn and soybeans but impact harvest this fall. All of the weather woes are due to the El Nino weather patterns impacting the country.

Max Armstrong reminds farmers that the global grain situation is more that just what is around them in their towns and states.

Plus, Allegiant Airlines is going to begin offering more roundtrip flights to Las Vegas due to the Raiders playing there this fall. This will include an extra flight Thanksgiving weekend when the Raiders play the Kansas City Chiefs.

Max Armstrong's Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
