Wet forecast spurs profit taking

Crops stressed but relief in sight. (Video)

A hot and in many places dry weekend didn’t do much for grain prices overnight. The market is lower across the board based on forecasts for abundant rains over much of the Midwest over the next week. While last week’s conditions stressed crops, no more hot weather is in the outlook after the current heat fades. Wall Street looks ready for lower trade today after a selloff in technology stocks Friday, as investors bet the Fed will raise interest rates Wednesday.
