Soybeans post more double digit gains

Follow-through buying keeps bulls in contract. (Video report)

The hits kept on coming for soybeans overnight. Futures jumped to double digit gains on follow-through buying after surging higher Thursday due to bullish USDA acreage estimates. Corn and wheat also posted gains overnight, though ethanol prices weakened following China’s imposition of an additional 15% retaliatory tariff on U.S. imports. Forecasts for April look cool and wet, which could mean a slow start to planting this spring.
