Market waits for rain on the Plains

Wall Street steady as decision day looms. (Video)

Storms moving across the Red River Valley in North Dakota this morning are expected to provide widespread relief for northern Plains crops, but another system could be more beneficial later in the week. Grain futures are posting more gains overnight, taking many contracts to the top of recent trading ranges. Outside markets are quiet, waiting for a series of events Thursday that could trigger volatility.
