The seventh annual Arkansas Women in Agriculture Conference will be held March 4-5 at the Wyndham Riverfront in North Little Rock. The agenda, registration and hotel information are available at www.ArkansasWomenInAg.com.

“We are very excited to once again offer this opportunity for women involved in agriculture to come together to learn and network with other women involved in agriculture and rural community issues,” said Carrie Hirmer, ARWIA CEO. “The theme for this year’s conference is Back to Basics and Blue Jeans — we’re getting back to basics by offering more sessions on production agriculture and, in effort to make attendees feel welcome and comfortable, we’re encouraging them to wear their blue jeans.”

In addition to over 40 sessions on everything from agriculture and rural issues to family and health, four pre-conference workshops will be held as well as a Career Fair and an Arkansas foods and wine gathering.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the many vendors and help others while at the conference through the conference service project. The focus project for this year is the Arkansas National Guard Agribusiness Development Team. Participants are asked to bring items for and help assemble care packages, which will be sent to the Team in Afghanistan.

Early registration is $55 for members and $65 for non-members. Early registration ends Feb. 11. After that date, member registration is $80 and non-member registration is $90.
