The Claas Trion 740 combine leads a large class of new products in the combine category discovered at farm shows recently. It’s not the biggest combine on the market. Instead, it was introduced to fill a need for 1,000- to 3,000-acre farmers who want an economical combine with state-of-the-art features. This machine can handle a 12-row chopping corn head or 40-foot draper head and keep on trucking.
Claas also introduced the 50-foot Convio Flex draper head, geared toward larger operations. Outstanding features include its automatic flexing ability across the width of the platform. Other companies also introduced new heads, including the FD2 FlexDraper head, which is the first product released from a partnership between New Holland and MacDon.
Be sure to check out the BT Chopper stalk roll kit for Drago corn heads coming from Calmer. It’s the first BT chopping corn head option for Drago corn heads. The aluminum flex draper head from GTS and the new GTS aluminum folding corn head are also worth hard looks.
