The California Raisin Marketing Committee reports that 788 tons of Natural Seedless (NS), sun-dried, raisins were delivered to handlers from March 29 through April 4.

Deliveries of all varietal types totaled 811 tons. This compares to 8,126 tons of all varietal types delivered to handlers for the same period last year.

Year-to-date deliveries of NS raisins totaled 285,946 tons. This compares to 343,527 tons of NS deliveries as of this date a year ago.

325,171 tons of all varietal types have been delivered YTD, compared to 383,020 tons in 2013-2014.

12,315 tons of the NS deliveries for 2014-15 crop year are organic.

1,712 tons of NS are held on memo storage.

1,814 tons of NS are held for reconditioning. 

March 2015 shipments of NS raisins shows that domestic shipments (including Canada) were 17,604 packed tons, compared to 16,778 tons in 2014, a difference of 5 percent. Year-to-date domestic shipments are 129,964 packed tons compared to 128,458 tons at this time in 2014, a difference of 1 percent.

NS export shipments (without Canada) for March 2015 were down 9 percent – 11,884 packed tons, compared to 13,113 tons in 2014. YTD export shipments are 75,478 packed tons, compared to 92,843 tons a year ago, a decrease of 19%.

NS shipments to all destinations year-to-date are down 7 percent from 221,301 packed tons last year to 205,442 packed tons.
