Massey Ferguson has expanded its line-up of compact tractors with the new Massey Ferguson 1560, a 59.1 rated engine hp tractor with expanded work capabilities.

The 1560 features a larger chassis, heavier rear end and expanded 3-point hitch capacities. “The new 1560 gives buyers increased job capabilities, with more horsepower than any other compact tractor on the market,” says Stephen Barcuch, marketing manager for Massey Ferguson compact tractors. “The 1560's compact design makes it one of the most versatile, hard-working compact tractors available today.”

The 1560 is available in 4WD platform and 4WD factory-installed cab configurations. The 4WD platform version comes with Massey Ferguson's 12×12 power shuttle transmission, with factory installed joystick and mid-mount couplers. Cab models come with a choice of 12×12 power shuttle transmission or Massey Ferguson's exclusive DynaQPS (4 speed clutchless shift) transmission, with 12 forward and 12 reverse speeds. Both transmission options feature multi-disc wet clutch operation for longer life under heavy use conditions. Both cab options come with 2 hydraulic rear remotes, factory installed joystick and mid couplers.

The 1560 features a heavier 3-point Cat. I/II hitch with increased lift capacity of 3,748 pounds at the hitch point. “The heavier 3-point hitch assembly gives users greater versatility for more demanding job applications,” says Jeffrey Ratliff, Massey Ferguson product marketing specialist. “With the 3-point hitch, enhanced hydraulics and heavier rear end, the 1560 can handle many tasks that formerly required a full-size tractor.” As with the full line of Massey Ferguson compact tractors, the 1560 comes with a wide range of optional implements and attachments, including hydraulic loader and/or backhoe options.

Larger tire options are available with the new 1560, including R4 12-16.5 front with 18.4×24 rear industrial tire options or 9.5×16 6PR R1 front and 16.9-26 6PR R1 adjustable rear tires for agricultural-type uses. Another option is 27×12LL-15 6PR front with LSW570×648 6PR turf tires for golf course and landscape maintenance applications.

The 1560 is designed for maximum operator convenience, with an automotive style dash and digital display instrument panel, for cab models, that allows the operator to see gear selection, ground speed and fluid levels at a glance. The digital instrument panel includes a diagnostic message center that alerts the operator to any potential system problems. Speed, transmission and implement controls are designed for handy access and operation. Even the floor mat is designed for added operator comfort, with thick molded rubber that makes for better foot comfort when working long days.

Glass-enclosed cab tractors come with built-in heating, air conditioning and radio speakers, and have plenty of headroom and legroom. The wide front window offers excellent visibility, as do rear and corner windows which can be opened for outside air. Cabs are equipped with front and rear lights and doors on both sides for convenient access and exit. Front and rear window wiper/washer is standard on cab models, along with rear view mirrors on both sides.
