Following a long tradition of honoring outstanding work in Ohio agriculture, the Ohio Agricultural Hall of Farm recently inducted eight new members – four from 2020 and four from 2021. More than a hundred involved in the ag industry attended the 55th Ohio Agricultural Council Hall of Fame Breakfast to celebrate the occasion, Aug. 6, at the Ohio Expo Center and State Fair in Columbus.
In his opening comments Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine noted that agriculture remains the No. 1 industry in the state of Ohio. He congratulated the new inductees and said, “I’m grateful for all you do.”
The Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame was established in 1966 to honor those who have dedicated their lives to outstanding work in Ohio agriculture, recognizing superior service, dedication, leadership and plentiful contributions to agriculture.
Those wishing to make nominations for this award next year may download a form at ohioagcouncil.org/hall-of-fame. Deadline is March 15, 2022 for the nomination forms, which should be accompanied by three letters of recommendation.
