Stoody's new 964 AP-G is a hard-facing welding wire that provides all-position welding and the most wear-resistant surface in the industry -- 58 to 64 Rockwell.
The wire provides crack-free deposits on Series 300 stainless and manganese steels, and saves lots of shop time by allowing the welder to work on the machine in any position. Weld deposits made by 964 AP-G is a specially formulated allow that produces a uniform distribution of small primary carbides in a tough molecular matrix. The small carbides provide greatly improved wear for tool steels and several conventional chromium carbide allows.
Stoody 964 AP-G is available in 0.045" and 1/16" diameters and comes packaged in 33 lb. spools.
Hard-facing equipment in the field or on the machine calls for wire that can be welded in the vertical position. Stoody's 964 AP-G provides 64 Rockwell C hardness and the ease of use in any position.
