Grants available for value added agriculture production, processing and access

The Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development  recently announced a competitive grant program to promote the expansion of value added agriculture production, processing and access within the state in order to enhance Michigan’s $100 billion food and agriculture industry. The Value Added/Regional Food Systems Grant Program will accept proposals until 3 p.m. (EST) on May 26.

The purpose of the grant program is to establish, retain, expand, attract, or develop value added agricultural processing in Michigan, or that expand or develop regional food systems or access to healthy food.

Any additional communications concerning this Request for Proposal should be sent to [email protected].  Proposals must be received by email no later than 3 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, May 26.  Proposals received after 3 p.m. will not be considered.
