PCG's "Seed Cost Calculator" has been updated for 2010 and is now available from our website at: http://www.plainscotton.org/Seed/PCGseed10.xls

Pricing for 109 varieties of cotton has been incorporated into the new calculator from ten seed labels, namely: AFD; All-Tex; Americot; Croplan; D & PL; Dyna-Gro; FiberMax; NexGen; PhytoGen; and Stoneville.

The PCG seed cost calculator is an interactive Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that allows producers to calculate an estimated cost per acre, for both seed and technology, based on published suggested retail prices.

Price information for FM 9101 and FM 9103 GlyTol cotton seed is expected to be announced in early February 2010.

If you don't own Microsoft Excel, and are unwilling to shell out big bucks to buy the program, you'll find links to download the free Open Office program at: http://www.openoffice.org/index.html

"Open Office" is a free, downloadable, open source suite of software that includes CALC - a spreadsheet program that can open Excel spreadsheets and workbooks just as well as Microsoft's program but at NO COST TO YOU.
