Brooks tapped as CCGA-WAPA regulatory director

Aimee Brooks is the new director of regulatory affairs for the California Cotton Ginners and Growers Associations and the Western Agricultural Processors Association.Brooks comes from a farm family near Riverdale, Calif. She began her duties July1.Brooks will be responsible for regulatory and legislative issues with respect to cotton growers and ginners, plus the tree nut hulling and processing industries.

The California Cotton Ginners and Growers Associations (CCGGA) and the Western Agricultural Processors Association (WAPA) have hired Aimee Brooks as the organizations’ director of regulatory affairs.

Brooks recently graduated from Cal Poly–San Luis Obispo with a degree in agricultural communications.

Brooks comes from a farm family near Riverdale, Calif. She began her duties July1.

Brooks will be responsible for regulatory and legislative issues with respect to cotton growers and ginners, plus the tree nut hulling and processing industries.

The CCGGA is a voluntary dues-based organization representing cotton growers and cotton gins throughout California.

WAPA is a voluntary dues-based organization which represents the tree nut hulling and processing industry on regulatory and legislative issues ranging from energy, air quality, labor, and food safety.

These organizations are operated and managed together in Fresno, Calif.
