There are two major pieces of legislation advancing in congress that talk about cattle marketing. Both are waiting floor action. The U.S. Cattlemen's Association is pleased with the action, and they look forward to the strategies the Biden administration is taking. However, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce doesn't share the sentiment. A post by that group says that those bills would expand the government's role in meat markets, and competition would be harmed.
